Types of Siamese cats

Siamese cats come from the ancient kingdom of Zion (now Thailand) and in the past it was said that only royalty could have this feline breed. Fortunately, today, any cat lover can enjoy this excellent and beautiful pet.

In fact, there are only two types of Siamese cats: the modern Siamese cat and the so-called Thai, the old type from which today’s Siamese come. The main feature of the latter was that it was white (sacred color in Zion) and had a slightly rounder face. His body was a little more compact and round.

I met a couple who had a Siamese cat as a pet and they told me that their daughters wore the cat in dresses and doll caps, as well as walking it in a stroller. Sometimes the cat also rolled around the steering wheel of a plastic toy truck. By that I mean that the Siamese are really patient with children, besides being nice to them, which we cannot see in other breeds of cats.

Today, Siamese cats are distinguished by their color because their morphology is very identical. Their body is beautiful, elegant and elastic, despite a well-defined muscle structure that makes them very agile.

The colors of its fur can vary from creamy white to dark brown gray, but always with a very special feature on its face, ears, legs and tail, which makes them very different from other feline breeds. In the areas of the body mentioned above their body temperature is lower and, in Siamese cats, the hairs of these parts are much darker, almost black or purely black, which, with the characteristic blue of their eyes, defines them clearly and differences them from other breeds.
